Who We Are
Founded in 2001, Bangor Land Trust is a community-based non-profit land trust dedicated to protecting special landscapes and natural resources in the Bangor region, maintaining public access to trails, and providing educational programming for all ages.
What We Do
We are committed to preserving natural spaces in perpetuity. Our focus area, Penjajawoc Marsh, is an important wetland that provides critical habitat for many species of flora and fauna. We protect and steward more than 1,000 acres of vital habitat, preserving these natural spaces for wildlife and maintaining public access through our trail systems for outdoor recreation and public enjoyment. We also provide educational programming for all ages to foster a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
