Volunteer Chefs provide meals from the heart for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Bangor while their children receive treatment at a local hospital. Your efforts will alleviate stress for families after a long day at the hospital.
This is a great activity for individuals, families or small groups (Please note, group size is limited to 5 participants). You do not have to be a trained chef! Basic home-cooking skills are all you need. Volunteers typically make meals for 12 - 18 people.
This program is flexible, allowing volunteers to cook a meal one time, regularly, or occasionally. The Ronald McDonald House is open 365 days a year and is looking for volunteers to help cook dinner for our families each night of the week, including weekends and holidays. Breakfast opportunities are available on Saturdays and Sundays.
Meals must be made in the kitchen at the Ronald McDonald House and cannot be prepared or cooked at home.
