Veazie Village Senior Housing Community has an outside area that is need of clearing so the seniors can have a place to sit and enjoy being outside. The area was once used during the summer months by the residents but has since become over grown with brush, leaves and fallen trees. The City of Veazie has agreed to cut the few fallen trees down if we have volunteers available to clear the debris. Penquis Facilites crew will haul the debris away and provide rakes, leaf blower and lawn bags.
Veazie Public Works originally cleared this beautiful space for the seniors, but there is no longer a Public Works Department to care for this space. Currently, there is very little outdoor space for the seniors and this project would mean a lot to the residents so they can once again, enjoy this quaint space during our beautiful Maine summer and fall months.
