Who We Are

The Bodwell Center for Service and Volunteerism is a member of the Division of Student Life at the University of Maine. The mission of the Bodwell Center is to create civic mindedness by building an engaged campus through the promotion of service-learning and volunteerism to student, faculty and staff in order to strengthen our local, national, and global communities.

What We Do

We offer opportunities for University of Maine students to serve the community through small volunteer opportunities, service learning classes, group service projects and large Day of Service events (in April and August).  The Bodwell Center works with dozens of community organizations, schools, municipalities, and service organizations in central and eastern Maine to find needs that our students can assist with.  If your organization has a need for volunteers, contact us!
