Who We Are
The Waldo County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is committed to assist residents and visitors of Waldo County to prepare for all hazards through the creation of a local capability to prepare, respond and recover the lives, community spirit and property of the residents of Waldo County.
What We Do
The County EMA Office implements Emergency Management Functions through detailed planning, staffing, organizing, resourcing, training, exercising and evaluating to create a capability to mitigate, protect, prevent, respond and recover from the harmful effects of the hazards that Waldo County may experience. The major piece to this capability is through the utilization of Volunteers.
We cannot successfully respond and recover our community from disaster without the help of Volunteers.
