We are a life affirming agency whose mission is to support those in need. We offer clothes, household items and food to women and children in the Greater Bangor area. This is done through several of our programs such as My Choice Pregnancy Center, The Book Nook, Angels Attic, and Choices Boutique. Each unique program is designed to help individuals through education, incentivized material assistance and counseling.
Here in Bangor our store, Angel's Attic offers employment trainings to Adults with Disabilities. Each day several clients will come to our store and work with a job coach to learn basic retail skills such as merchandising, how to operate a cash register, and how to work with public.
Our programs are funded by donations and sales from the thrift store. We utilize donations to the thrift store in two ways; first, if we have clients in need they always come first and we re-gift the items immediately. Once we determine the item isn't needed by a client we will sell it and use the proceeds to benefit the programs.
