Piscataquis Regional Food Center

PRFC, located in Dover Foxcroft, Maine, serves low-income residents of Piscataquis, and Penobscot counties through the Food Center marketplace and home deliveries.

You may know PRFC as a food pantry, but there's a lot more happening here.

Our Food Center Marketplace gives people an opportunity to select food for themselves and their families in an environment designed to feel welcoming and respectful.

Behind the scenes, food is constantly arriving, being sorted, checked, stored, stocked, packed and distributed.

We also provide home deliveries for neighbors who have difficulty getting to the Food Center.

We prepare food for children and families through programs such as Fuel for Fun and Afterschool Specials.

We distribute food through community partners and mobile distributions, helping food reach people throughout our rural region.

And our community kitchen creates even more opportunities to make good use of the food available to us, processing fresh produce, repacking bulk foods, preparing items for distribution and reducing food waste.

There are a lot of moving pieces.

And volunteers make much of it possible.
