Did you know Good Shepherd Food Bank has two distribution center locations? In addition to our flagship location in Auburn, the Food Bank also has a location in Hampden. Volunteer opportunities at the Hampden Distribution Center consists primarily of packing food boxes for the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP). The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) works to improve the health of low-income people at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA commodity foods. We may also ask our volunteers to help with occasional/seasonal produce inspection.
Our Hampden location welcomes volunteers Tuesday-Thursday: 9am - 3pm and 1pm - 3pm, and Friday: 9am-11pm. There is no minimum time commitment required for volunteering.
