Ever dreamed of being on local TV? Well, now's your chance! AND you get to help your neighbors struggling with their heating needs at the same time. What could be better?
NEWS CENTER is looking for volunteers to man the phone during one or more of several shifts that day to accept contributions for Project Heat. These funds will provide invaluable relief to those struggling to keep their homes warm.
Hours that volunteers are needed in Bangor at the phone bank are
- 5am – 9am..arriving at 445am for training
- 11:30am – 1:30pm arriving at 11:15am for training
- 4:30pm -7:30pm arriving at 4:15pm for training
Bangor phone bank could use 5 to 6 volunteers per shift....they can accommodate more volunteers if more than 6 want to work a shift.
There is parking at the Bangor news station...and meals/snacks will be provided.
The Bangor Phone bank for Project Heat will be at the Bangor news station at 324 Mount Hope Ave.
