Our Gleaning Initiative will be partnering with two community gardens for a Day of Caring on May 11th to set up deer fencing, prepare and clean up beds. No experience is necessary and tools are not required but might be useful. The organizer will be in touch with registrants with more details. In case of rain, we will move the event to Saturday, May 12, same time and place. We will meet at 121 Court St in Machias and travel to one of two nearby sites depending on the number of volunteers available. Join us for a fun afternoon of garden prep. All harvests are donated to local food pantries.
