As part of the American Battlefield Trust national annual Historic Park Clean-up Day (Official Date April 6th), Fort Knox participates each year with 40-60 volunteers preparing the park grounds after winter for opening on May 1st. Volunteers are needed to sweep, rake, limb tress and brush, collect debris and trash, repair soil erosion and gravel paths, paint/stain, etc. Volunteers receive a free t-shirt and appreciation lunch.
